NOMAFLEX is a semi rigid closed-cell polypropylene foam with a similar look as the old-fashioned asphalt saturated fibre expansion joint that has been on the market since anyone can remember. NOMAFLEX is a new more environmentally and worker friendly product that can also be used in residential, commercial, civil, municipal and industrial applications. NOMAFLEX will not absorb water, swell or disintegrate and it extends the service life of concrete by reducing the amount of materials entering the joint.  Nomaflex does not impede sealant cure time and can be used without a bond breaker with no impact on the long term performance of the sealant. NOMAFLEX resists oils, gas, salts, acetone and other chemicals. It does not leach like other products and is not sticky. NOMAFLEX fully complies with ASTM standard specification D 8139, and ASTM standard specification D 1751 for extrusion, compression recovery and water absorption as tested per ASTM test method D 545. NOMAFLEX can be easily scored to transform into a "Strip-off" style expansion joint with the use of the NOMAFLEX CUTTING TOOL.  If your project requires a more flexible type of closed cell expansion joint please consider using NOMACO FASTFLEX, which comes with the already incorporated tear off strip. FASTFLEX is a very dense, high quality product that can be used in high-end applications such as decorative concrete and swimming pools or anywhere else this type of expansion joint is desirable.
